The "Ole" sweater is a reinterpretation and a tribute to the old sailor's sweaters. The popular half-cardigan stitch runs seamlessly knitted from hem to collar. Modern, understated, yet distinctive, the decreases are knitted into the shoulder area, meaning the knitting direction changes in that section. The 1x1 rib cuffs visually blend with the half-cardigan stitch, but provide more shape retention at the edges.
Three threads of the finest GOTS-certified virgin wool are plated and knitted in two colors. One yarn system runs on the "wrong" side of the fabric and one on the "right," outer visible side of the fabric. This two-color effect highlights this special knitting technique more or less depending on the color combination. The effort is rewarded with an exceptional color melange with a deep effect. On land or at sea, the practical zipper on the high collar quickly replaces a scarf and can be just as quickly opened again when the sun shines!
