The BC-05 LOOSE CHINO is a classic chino cut with a loose fit. Just like Benzak's BC-04 RELAXED CHINO, the BC-05 is made using classic methodology, as opposed to the modern construction they use for the other chino cuts. This includes a lined waistband, flat-felled seams, and a small coin pocket next to the right front pocket. It is Benzak's most generous fit to date.
Chino fabric was developed for military uniforms in the 19th century. Since the fabric was originally produced in China, the trousers made from it were known in Spanish as Pantalones Chinos (Chinese trousers), which was shortened to "Chinos" in English, giving the typical trousers their well-known name. The 8.5oz fabric variant of these BC-05 is woven by Collect Mills in Japan using a "left-hand twill" construction.
