The modern work vest from Iron Heart is durable and practical. It offers freedom of movement and is versatile – with a two-way zipper, handwarmer and chest pockets, and an elastic collar for added comfort. This model is made from 9oz heavy cotton canvas in a plain weave, woven from ring-spun American cotton yarns. Thicker, firmer, and more durable than the open-end yarns typically used for inferior fabrics, it creates a smooth yet robust fabric with more weight than the 7oz "Weather" fabric, while being lighter and more supple than the stiffer 17oz Duck Canvas. The fabric's yarns are sulfur-dyed, causing the vest to gradually lose its appearance and develop a vintage character.
